What Unite Us All ?
What is it that unite us despite our differences ? This question revealed itself to me when I first traveled from Sweden to China the year 2007. First I was surprised how different and unfamiliar surroundings and people looked and felt, but as I formed friendships in my new homeland, I was more surprised to discover how deeply alike we all are.
This realization have become an essential element in my creative exploration, where I explore the essence of human beings by removing the layers that set us apart, revealing what connects us at our core. Primarily working with bronze, I depict the human body – a universal symbol transcending cultural, gender, and geographic boundaries. My sculptures are not just shapes; they embody shared human experiences and emotions. They are a tribute to our collective humanity, emphasizing the deep connections that United us all. In a world increasingly focused on differences, my art strives to remind us of our common origins and shared destiny. It is a call to recognize and value the fundamental aspects of human life that bind us together, regardless of outward visible impressions.
